Like many of us do, I subscribe to a myriad of magazines, publications and LinkedIn Groups. This makes me feel very special when I come in every day and there is a full days worth of emails awaiting my reaction! Well, maybe that last statement is not necessarily true.
Well, today, I got an email that actually made me 'stop, blink, and look again' because I literally could not believe my eyes. A picture of the email is shown above. Yes the job says: Only Female - in the description. I had to remind myself that this was actually 2013 and how thankful I am to live in the United States where sometimes that is the thinking behind certain positions, however, it can never be clearly articulated as in the above example.
Am I being to critical of the job description that says for females only?
